About Me

Hi! I'm Shalette. After playing football (soccer) for roughly 10 years and dabbling in other sports like track and field, rugby and field hockey for a brief moment. It was difficult dealing with patellofemoral pain syndrome (for the most part), tendonitis, fractured collarbones, MCL injuries, a wrists injury, an ankle and dozens of sprained fingers. I shifted my time to the weight room because I wanted to remain physically involved with less contact. November 2020 would make it 6 years of consistent efforts of trying to strengthen the muscles around my knees mostly but also becoming stronger all round and trying to make healthier choices everyday.

Strength training not only helped me recover from sports related injuries, but it also helps manage my anxiety and depression, makes me feel better all round and led me to becoming a certified fitness trainer.

Training-wise, I require all new clients to sign-up for a minimum of three-months. I do this because this gives me peace of mind that the client is serious and dedicated to achieving his/her fitness/physique goals and this ensures that I will have adequate time to produce results. As we all know, Rome wasn't built in a day and I can't transform your body in one month. If you aren't serious about achieving your strength, physique or long-term health goals, I'm probably not the coach for you.

I can't wait to hear from you and I look forward to becoming a part of your journey!
